Happy Mother’s Day from Patches.

Several times a year, we change Chance’s name to Patches. Why? Because after shaving him and since I am not a professional groomer (or even a competent at-home one), he comes out looking like a patchwork quilt. I think he likes it since his personality changes a little—less neurotic and more goofy.

So while spending a Mother’s Day Weekend with my mom, I decided I would groom Chance while visiting. It usually takes two days and needs to be done in spurts. One, because his hair is coarse like fur and it takes awhile for the shaver to get through it all and it gets very hot quickly. And two, because his attention span is deficient, there’s only so much time before he has to acknowledge the birds in the yard.

This is Chance all furry before and then his alter-ego “Patches”, after.

  1. I like Chance with his long hair but he must feel better now that it will be getting hotter. Nice job Lynne.

  2. Awwwww! How cute is he! I’ll bet he feels better with his hair cut. Especially as the weather gets warmer .

  3. Thank you Patches and to your owner for the wonderful Mother’s Day wishes, I enjoyed a wonderful Mother’s Day here just chillin’ with hubby. Kids called me and Mr. WickerWoman and I sent cards to our mothers. Weather was warm, I relaxed by weaving two chair seats and hubby napped. All is great with the world! Hope everyone else had a wonderful day too.
