Sweet Accommodations.

So yesterday was our full day here at the John C. Campbell Folk School and I was simply too tired to post at the end of the evening! Eric and I usually go to bed at midnight but last night I was in bed by 8! Eric went out for a walk on one of their nature trails and ran into one of the blacksmith teachers and gabbed for awhile. When he returned he said I was sound asleep.

Below are some pics (that I wanted to post yesterday) of the sweet little farm house we are staying at. Perfect accommodations for us since we love old houses and I hear the room we are in used to be Olive Campbell’s room so it’s extra special.

I hope to have more pictures tonight or tomorrow morning. But I think it’s going to be an early night again! We’re running into town at 4:45 so we can be back for dinner at 6:00 and then dancing at 7:00!

  1. I’m glad you are enjoying it. It is one of my favorite places on the planet! Looks like you are at Farmhouse. It’s such a cute place. I was in Log house right behind where you are, last January. I hope to get back there soon.

  2. Lynn,

The Farm House is where I stayed when I taught the wicker furniture repair class in 2001 and shared it with three other teachers. Lovely little place, and the porch is great to sit on of a night and listen to the evening sounds. Have fun and keep us posted.

    1. Yes, it is a great porch! I cannot believe how little time I seem to have here! Going to a blacksmith demonstration tonight and want to take some pics and then post today’s story after that.

  3. I want bigger pictures!

I don’t know which house you are in, it looks so cute. As many times as I have gone to the Folk School I am embarrassed to say I have never really driven (or walked) the whole property. I always have the best intentions to get around to more of the studios and such, but once I get there I get wrapped up in my class and never get out and about.

    1. The Farm House is beyond the fiber arts studio and diagonally across the street from the photography studio with the blacksmith building beyond that (I believe). Don’t have my map on me. I’m sitting in the library connected to the internet so I can post and do some work. It’s overcast so it’s a good time to get as much work done as possible!
