All Fours on the Floor.

Yes, Eric and I are moving. So we have been heavy into getting our house here in Manchester on the market as soon as possible. So that entails making the house perfect for someone else! Exactly what we didn’t want to do. But we have found a new property and need to get this house sold.

There’s all kinds of projects going on in this house. We installed a new vanity in the bathroom along with a new sink in the kithchen and one of the major projects is to finish exposing all of the hardwood floors in this house. The last room left was the kitchen. Remember when I posted about us getting rid of the ugly white vinyl to expose retro orange vinyl flooring below? Well, a future buyer will most likely not have the same taste as we do. So we are scraping up the retro orange flooring we loved so much to expose gorgeous hardwood floors beneath. (Yes, we knew there were hardwood floors below the orange vinyl we uncovered and opted to keep the orange flooring. I never said we were smart.)

All it needs after we’re done ripping up the vinyl is a good sanding, then a stain and then poly. All I know is that it hasn’t been so bad exposing the floors. Why? Because my mom is helping us out. Here she is doing some major scraping. What did I do while she was doing this? I was upstairs napping. Hey, I have always said that I’m lazy!

Another lazybones is Chance. He doesn’t care that the floor still needs to be sanded and cleaned up. He’s loving it. Or, he’s trying to get into the picture. Every time we pull out that camera, he wiggles his way into the shot.

Will post more pictures of our renovation and getting our house on the market. Along where we are heading next!
