My Cousin K’s Pinterest Thanksgiving

Okay, I’m poking a little fun at my cousin Kerryn today. While visiting her up north over Labor Day, she showed me some of her food creations she copied from Pinterest. And, I know this sounds terrible, but I could not stop laughing until my stomach hurt too much. However in my defense, I think it had more to do in the way she was presenting it to me and how she described it.

We ended the conversation by inventing more appropriate name like  Pinterest “attempts” or “fails” or “Pinterest When Drunk” or “Not Pinterest Worthy” or “K’s Not-so-Pinterest”…

I think it was the “naming” part that made my stomach hurt so much from all the laughter. And I should also point out that MOST of the food creations on Pinterest are not realistic. I’ve heard many people talk about how they tried to do a craft project they found on Pinterest and it was a complete failure. However, most fail to realize that many of the ideas are drawn up from a TEAM of creatives who are getting paid to produce these things.

Anyways, with her approval, I thought I would start sharing her Pinterest “Accomplishments” and today is a veggie platter she made in honor of today’s holiday, Thanksgiving. The first pic is from my Cousin K and the second is the inspiration pic from Pinterest. I really don’t see much of a difference, do you?
