Who Says Georgians Don’t Have Yankee Ingenuity?

Our good friend Jud sent Mr. Basketmaker this photo of a contraption he had to build on his drill press to reach out to the bottom of a basket to insert a medallion…

I then texted Jud to see if I could use said picture on my blog. He texted back, “In what context?” And I said “to show genius ingenuity.” He replied “okay, yes” with a smiley face.

However, Jud, my iPhone auto corrected when I texted you. I meant to say “yankee ingenuity” and it replaced the word yankee with “genius.”

I know using the term “yankee” might tick him off. But I’m sure he will get over it. Besides, this guy is originally from Ohio and his wife hails from New York, so technically he’s half-yankee!

Important Announcement to the Basket Cottage Girls from Mr. Basketmaker: Can you please help out my bro and pick out the medallion’s hole size for your base before you weave your basket? Please, go easy on him!
