Only cool mother-in-laws can ski for free in New Hampshire

My mother-in-law Joanne sent me a text yesterday afternoon with this picture…

What’s unique about this photo is that my mother-in-law is the one who snapped this photo while skiing! Yes, she is 71-years-young and she still skis! This is the view on top of Bretton Woods. You can see Mount Washington in the distance.

I stopped skiing when I was 30 or so since I was too afraid I was going to break a bone. Just shows how adventurous and awesome she is!

Her son says she’s still skiing only because it’s free. In New Hampshire, after you turn 70 you can ski for free the rest of your life. Maybe when I turn 70 I’ll take it back up… (highly doubtful unless it’s on the bunny slope).

Anyways I think Eric is incorrect. His mom would still be skiing no matter what it cost… she is that cool!

  1. The picture is awesome. Beautiful up there. What an amazing woman she is! I think it’s great New Hampshire has free skiing; might keep people younger and more active longer.
