At the beginning of the year, I came up with an “Employee of the Month” program to boost morale in our two-person-one-dog operation. Eric was December’s winner. Last month’s? It’s our dog Chance.
Why Chance? Because he was a good sport and endured a week-long stay at the dog kennel while we were in Florida visiting family and Eric taught one of his workshops. While we were playing shuffleboard, sitting in the hot tub and taking long walks in the nice sun (and drinking margaritas at the local outdoor bar), Chance was all alone, at a kennel, with strange dogs, experiencing limited outside time and probably being taunted by mean kitties.
Since he clearly sacrificed the most for our business, Chance is January’s Employee of the Month.
His tail wagging a mile a minute leads me to believe that he’s pretty stoked about this honor! (or he really needs to go out and pee… could go either way).
