Tying Up Loose Ends (Literally).

I’ve been getting quite a bit of emails from my fans (doesn’t that sound egotistical? It’s so obnoxious. But I’m loving it!) with questions and supportive comments so I thought I would use today’s post as a hodgepodge of stuff.

Yes. Chance did come with us to North Carolina. He was a perfect passenger the whole trip. We arrived in Raleigh Tuesday evening and in one hour however, he quickly got on Eric’s “bad list.” At our hotel, he started barking out the window (I’m talking about Chance but if you were witnessing the situation, it could go either way since Eric, responding to Chance, was doing quite a bit of his own barking as well).

I’m attributing this bad behavior to the fact that he’s a dog and was cooped up in the back of a vehicle, surrounded by boxes for two days! He has an enormous amount of pent-up energy to say the least. So after this incident, I took him on a long walk and he was able to settle down a little. He’s quietly sleeping in his bed right next to me as I write. Eric, well he’s sitting in the chair still pouting over Chance being a bad dog and me taking his side (the dog’s side that is).

No, I am not taking a class at the convention here in Raleigh or doing any weaving myself. Remember, I am not a basket weaver or a basket maker. I’m only the lowly wife. I will be visiting Eric at the convention, taking pictures and notes for my NCBA post. And also getting in as much gossip as I can (my sources will always remain anonymous). But mainly, I will be working. I’m currently laying out a a quarterly magazine that I do for one of my clients. If you’ve been following me for awhile, you know I was busy over the holidays getting out their winter edition. Now I’m working on their Spring issue. And will be taking many breaks to take Chance out on some walks and enjoy the awesome weather down here! The cherry blossoms are blooming signaling Spring is here!

Yes, that indeed was me on twitter last night twittering about BotaBox wine. I even got a response from the company BotaBox as well this morning. But I’ll save all that for another post. It will be one of my “Travel Tips.”

Okay, I know! This is answering several people who let me know that there are spacing issues in many of the posts. When I converted over from Blogger to WordPress two weeks ago, many of the posts did not translate spacing accurately. So many words are squished together. I have updated some of the posts to fix this but still need to work on the rest of them. I will probably get to this over the weekend. So thank you to my ‘fans’ (I’m obnoxiously rubbing it in now) for letting me know about this “changeover glitch” that occurred during the transfer. The same issue applies to my email subscribers. The feed here has no spacing at all. So as soon as I can figure out what the problem is, I will take care of that issue. So hang tight.

And another “I know”… I know that I have not uploaded our bio’s yet!! I cannot say anything more about that since it will all be excuses of why I have not done it. So that’s it about that.

And finally, “No, I have not finished making up my goody bag cards!” I’m still tying them together. However, I am close to being done. I have 150 left to do and will complete them in the morning and then bring them over to the convention in time for the afternoon goody bag assembly line. And a huge shoutout to my friend Karen from Brookline, NH who volunteered to come over and help me put these cards together! But we already left for North Carolina so I couldn’t take her up on it.

So that’s a wrap on some loose ends. Don’t forget to send me any questions for Eric to answer on “Five Questions Friday.” You can send them over to questions@thebasketmakerswife.com Some of you sent some great questions last week. Keep them coming!
