Yesterday, on our way home, we were stuck in the Hartford, Connecticut traffic with the Famous Idaho® Potato Tour Truck. Turns out, this tater was heading to Quincy, Massachusetts. As you can see from my pics, that sure is one big spud!

Just for the record, the Idaho potato is not stepping one foot into the state of Maine. Rumor has it there is a bigger potato growing in Eric and Karen’s back yard.
Tripp and I once toured a Potato museum in Prince Eward Island, Canada. It was actually quite fascinating.
Did they serve you mashed potatoes after the tour?
What a great post Lynn, I had no idea there was this celebration of the Idaho potato taking place! And loved going to their site to see the truck and read the blog posts about the crew’s adventures so far. Will have to forward this to my relatives out in Idaho, just in case they’ve missed it.
Thanks Cathryn! Glad you liked it. Isn’t their website cool? I love it!
Yikes! Was that a real potato? I guess it was since it was on a potato tour!
Hey Joanne – You must still believe in the tooth fairy!
Imagine how many french fries that potatoe (Quayle spelling) could make?
I’m thinking about all the butta (Bostonian speaking) and salt!
