Q: I told you about how Hasbro is going to ditch one of their current game pieces: race car, thimble, shoe, Scottie dog, battleship, top hat, iron or wheelbarrow. Fans can vote, on their facebook page until Feb. 5th, their favorites. Which one is your least favorite and what do you think they should replace it with? (I think the replacement options are: robot, ring, cat, helicopter or guitar — I don’t like any of them. I mean, who really wants a cat token? (sorry cat lovers.)
Eric: The worst game piece hands-down is the wheelbarrow. It always falls over. I never wanted to be the wheelbarrow. The helicopter would be a good replacement. Flying around the board landing on stuff seems more fun than a wheelbarrow. 
(editor’s note: I’m not liking any of their replacement pieces. Especially the helicopter. It would be like Trump flying around the board. So, Hasbro, I quickly sketched up my recommendation: a basket. I think a basket token is a great addition!)
Q: How was your vacation down in Florida over New Year’s?
Eric: It went great. Nice weather until the last day. I’m still bummed out that we didn’t get the last day of golf in with your parents.
Q: Did you make any New Year’s Resolution?
Eric: Yes, to try harder next New Years Eve to make it to midnight. I think I gave up fifteen minutes short this year. Now, if they were televising the possum drop, I might make it.
Q: Are we going to any new places I have not been to yet this year?
Eric: Yes, Minnesota! That is a pretty state. Maybe we can take in a Twins game. (editor’s note: I’ve actually been to Minnesota before — pre-Mr. Basketmaker — but I’ll let him think I’ve never stepped foot in the state.)
Q: What annoyed you this week (or from the prior week as well since I skipped it)?
Eric: Ya, your brother, the commissioner of the LGI Shuffle board tournament, brilliantly made rule changes allowing… surprise, his wife to end up winning. (editor’s note: Eric is still sore about losing his champion title to Michele and Sam, Team Pot Luck. Eric’s life is sooooo hard.)
Commissioner pay back perhaps? At least I didn’t intentionally “veto” you out of the competition!
