Five Questions Friday: I Don’t Own That Chair

Q: Why do you think our esteemed judges (Tripp & Michele) are taking so long to judge our Penny-Pinching Picker items?
Eric: Because they are diplomatically trying to choose my item as the winner.

Q: They don’t know who bought what. So how could they do that?
Eric: Because Tripp called you about the items and I know he was searching for subtle hints. And, he knows everything about you. And he “thinks” he knows all about me. And since Karen is the ultimate picker, he’s thinking it’s easy to decide between hers and her husband Eric’s. It’s all about deduction.
(uhm… my brother does not know everything about me!)

Q: So how was your rainy 4th of July?
Eric: I loved it. Able to stay at home, nobody bugging me to go see fireworks. Fireworks are highly overrated.
(he’s no fun)

Q: So I hear people think we actually bought that redneck chair! What do you think about that?
Eric: There’s only one person that phoned me directly to ask about that chair and he should have known better! There’s no way YOU would let me bring that chair back home! And I want to reiterate that that chair was photographed at a thrift store in Maine —not in Tennessee!

Q: What annoyed you this week?
Eric: I honestly don’t have anything. I’ve been so happy to be back home in Tennessee this week after being so cold up in New England. I only brought shorts! What a mistake.
(I told you to bring at least one pair of pants!)

  1. Tripp, If I win the pick won’t that trump your Brady Gaga since I’ve already won the Talbot Cup?

    1. Hmmmm… NOPE! Sorry, but the PPP is not in the same class as Brady Gaga or the LGI. But good luck anyway… unless of course you picked the shower, that one is definitely not winning!

  2. Oops… totally forgot about the PPP! Has nothing to do with who bought what in our opinions. We don’t try to read too much into who may have bought what. But truth be known, I did say to Michele that I hope Eric (The Basketmaker One) wins. Of course he wouldn’t believe that, but its true. As far as knowing everything about my sister Lynne?… no way!! I lived with her many years and never once did I have any idea that she had a “thing” for basketmakers.

Oh yeah, we’ll send in our judging results soon… sorry, we’ve been busy campaigning for the state of NH, trying to recover its image as a wonderful place to live!
