Q: Which of my blog posts was your favorite this week?
Eric: I don’t know if it was this week but the one about our green dog was the best. I’m going to remember that one come next Saint Patricks’ day. Green dogs are funny. Did you notice I got out of washing him?
(Yes, I noticed…)
Q: If you were a star in a 70’s or 80’s TV series who would you be and why?
Eric: Good question, give me some time to think about that….Ok, here it goes. I think I would like to be Ricardo Montalbán as Mr. Roarke from Fantasy Island. Think about it, he’s on this tropical island, it’s all nice and warm, he’s respected by all the guests, he doesn’t really do anything and he has a cool little side kick- Tatto. And I love hearing “The Plane, The Plane!”
(That so sounds like a complete nightmare to me!)
Q: Any thoughts so far about the transition into Tennessee life?
Eric: Ya, just exactly why did it take you 3 months to get your license and a Tennessee bank account?
Q: It’s so nice that I can no longer hear your blaring radios upstairs now that your workshop is in a separate building and far from my office. So what have you been listening to lately?
Eric: Well, a bunch of stuff. As you know I have my laptop hooked up to the internet and stereo, so my options are better than picking up local reception. I go back and forth from Boston sports radio (The Sports Hub) to get my Patriots and Red Sox info and Dave Ramsey because you listen to him in the afternoons. There are other ones but an odd one right know is McMinnville’s Swap Shop. The funny thing is, I have to get it online as my AM reception won’t get it here in the sticks. Anyway, when driving into town and it’s on it will be on my radio. “Hello, you’re on swap shop” “I’m sorry, you have to pay for yard sale ads” or “I called yesterday and my portable dishwasher is still for sale” or “I’m looking to buy a couch. Anyone got a couch? I really need me a couch.”
Q: What annoyed you this week?
Eric: I haven’t watched any Red Sox games other than when we were back East for a week. Last night, they had another great come-from-behind and I missed it. When DirectTV says you can have the same package when you move, they don’t know what they’re talking about. The MLB blocks games. Unless you purchase the MLB package, expect games to be blocked. What did we do before internet radio?
Joanne, I just bought the NFL Package. All I hear is Dave Ramsey, “Rice and Beans, Rice and beans.”
Eric I’m so proud of you! Quoting Dave Ramsey…
Dear Eric,
Buy MLB.COM for your computer . You can watch every Sox game when you want to. BTW they are doing a discounted rate at this time in the season.
