First, I want to say that I totally spaced “Five Questions Friday” yesterday. Was it really Friday? Time goes by so fast. I’m having a low tolerance to this realization.
So Mr. Basketmaker and I were talking, well, more like me talking and him listening. I forgot to tell him about an email convo recently exchanged with a very close friend of mine (who will remain anonymous since I didn’t ask her if I could mention following tiny story on my blog!).
Last week she emailed me regarding my post about the house numbers we made. Turns out that her phone number ends in the same numbers of our address. That did not even occur to me. And then I convo’d her back that we both lived on roads named “Kimball” in the same state AND we both married men with the same name — Eric.
So that’s three things in a row that I think is a tad spooky, maybe. I wish I could say four things — that we both share the same “cool” factor. But I can’t. She’s way cooler than I could ever be. She has numerous qualities I admire and I learn so much from her as well. And her creativity is curiously amazing. And she sometimes doesn’t even know it! And she’s way smarter. If I didn’t listen to her advice, I would never have met my Eric. Now that’s a friend for life.
Plus, she was there when I lost my dear pet of sixteen years, Oliver. And during such a traumatic experience, she made me, her and the Vet all hold hands in a circle to send off Oliver’s spirit. At that moment I had a little burst of happiness during such a sorrowful event… It made me laugh. And so happy that she was there with me at that moment.
So I’d say we’re pretty much connected… even if it is all coincidence. But is it?
***** I was just reminded that both of our birthdays are in October! Now how did I forget that?!
I gues it worked this time! Now where was I! Oh yes, not a coincidence! I believe chemistry between people draws them together.
JoAnn Kelly Catsos and I accidentally sat across from eachother at a dinner when we first met. Then we both realized, we were both Joanne’s . Both married to men named Steve. Both had daughters named Jennifer. ( BTW both of those Jennifers have similar personality traits!) Both husbands had birthdays in the same month. Her first born and my only child were born in the same birthday month. It goes on and on. We will be life long friends. Coincidence? Lol
Thanks Joanne for trying several times to post! Spam blockers are getting brutal lately. Even some of my clients are getting emails sent to me bounced back because of spam. Anyways, thanks for your post. That is so cool and I did not know that about you and the ‘other’ JoAnn.
They say there are no coincidences. That things happen for a reason. You’re really blessed to have such a good friend.
Oh no, not coincidence at all Lynne, planned by the Universe and it’s a “good thing” you are listening and paying attention so these things don’t pass you by! Very good, grasshopper.
I’ve been noticing many, many “coincidences” similar to yours since the passing of my husband. It really is a good thing. We are all connected.
Oh, thanks Cathryn! Yes, the Universe… a mysterious place.
What a wonderful friend. It sounds like she is the sister God forgot to give you. That is how I describe my dear friends.
Never thought of that. Thanks for reading and posting Patti!
