Q: Even though Five Questions Friday is supposed to be questions that I ask you on FRIDAY, I am succumbing to your boycotting my questions unless I ask them on Thursday. Therefore, I’m asking my questions Thursday night. Are you happy now?
Eric: Does this mean I have to answer the questions tonight?
Q: Why do you think our green peppers are finally producing, in October, and not all summer?
Eric: Technically, the hot pepper plant has been making a small number of peppers all summer. It’s the yellow pepper plant that has not been producing until now. Not sure why, but there is still plenty of sun out there and nice warm days.
Q: What do you think of the latest basket painting your mom created?
Eric: I like it very much. I think she should do more like it.
Q: Why do you think Betty Sue keeps leaving her pack and strolling way down here to our property?
Eric: Because we are cool people. If I were a cow, I would hang out with us.
(Maybe that’s why we have no friends in Tennessee. Only a lonely cow thinks we’re cool.)
Q: If you don’t like any of these questions, do you have a basket question you want me to ask? I don’t want you boycotting because of any lame questions.
Eric: No. Your questions were good and early this week. No complaints.
Q: What annoyed you this week?
Eric: Betty Sue leaving “Moon Pies” in the yard.
(I don’t think they’re called “moon pies.” I’m just thankful you’re in charge of the removal department.)
