Nesting in a Rosebush

Outside Mr. Basketmaker’s workshop, on a small porch fenced with scroll white iron, is a large, pink rosebush. And one day, I heard some rustling inside and upon further investigation, came across the sweetest little woven nest and three little blue-green eggs in the middle.

In honor of Mother’s Day, here’s some pics of the tiny nest and the protective little Mama Bird.

Above is the little nest that I found hiding inside this rosebush. It’s the perfect spot!

At dusk I was finally able to get a picture of her too!

Happy Mother’s Day to my Mom and MomJo! And to my sister Michelle and my sister-in-law Michele! And all the other moms out there!

    1. OH, is that what it is? It almost looks like my dog Chance’s hair! But a bird would have to sit on him and pull out some clumps!! Thanks for letting me know! LOL. And thanks for reading Cathy!

  1. We have a nest under our upper deck. Mamma Robin sits there patiently every day. One day, she was away, I was able to look through the cracks between the deck boards and saw 4 blue eggs in the nest. She will have 4 babies soon! Happy Mothers Day to Chance and Jackson’s mom!
