Remember one of my prior posts when I mentioned that my good friend Karen told me, in response to my creative “rut”, to go outside and take five photographs? And that I took way more than five photographs – probably around 100!. I also wrote that I would post some of them soon. Well, after a small delay, I selected five of them to show today.
So the theme with these five pics is “tiny homes.” There’s a new trend today involving downsizing and moving into tiny homes. But when it comes to “tiny” these are the tiniest homes around! Enjoy!
All these photos were taken in the woods behind our house. Mr. Basketmaker cleared a great path for me to have an area to walk which I have taken full advantage of over the summer. And after taking these photos, it gives me great appreciation, on every afternoon stroll, of the wildlife in our backyard and the “tiny homes” they create for themselves. Just like us… creating a home for the both of us, in middle Tennessee.
Note: In the photos that have “eyes” peering out, I did not see them when photographing. Only noticed them after I downloaded all my images and were processing them!
I know! Don’t know who those eyes belong to. And I am in the process of painting, using that lichen as inspiration.

love these photographs. keep working 🙂
Great photos! Wonder who the “eyes” belong to.
The lichen on the tree would make a good abstract painting for you to paint.
