Mr. Basketmaker Speaks: Bait & Switch

In a past blog post, Lynne showed photos of a new exhibit basket I was working on.  I thought it would be nice if I showed you the finished results.  If you’ve taken some of my workshops over the last few months, you may notice a new theme going on.

Anyway it’s been something that I have been playing with.  Expect some more curls in the future.

Now for a classic bait and switch!

I’m going to use my wife’s blog to shamelessly promote myself, as usual. So let me get right down to the point.

I am very excited to announce that we will be hosting workshops here in Tennessee for the first time starting next summer.

For those that remember the days at the old school house in Danbury, New Hampshire, you know the fun we all had.  I assure you, it will be way better.

A lot of planning has gone into how, what and when to make these offerings. I think we are ready. Rather, I know we are ready.

You may have already noticed a small ad on the side of Lynne’s blog. She has worked hard over the last couple weeks outlining everything in a nice clean website. It has all the details of my new summer workshops, including a contact form to reserve your space and download the application.

For one of the classes, butterflies are already starting because it is brand new territory.  The “Design Week” is way over the top, with experienced students designing the entire basket — from sketches to mold-making to material creation — and I am totally looking forward to it.  We welcome you to join us for this week or one of the other open workshops.

All I’m saying is check out the details one the web. If you have any questions, email us. Click here for the new workshop website.
