Q: How do you like your new (used) smartphone?
Eric: So far I like it, but I haven’t figured out how to really use it to its full extent but I feel much smarter already.
Q: So speaking of your “new” smartphone, which happens to be my old iPhone, tell me, honestly, how much faith you had that I would be able to fix the broken iPhone that my Dad sent to me?
Eric: I thought that you had about 85% chance of fixing it. Well, maybe somewhere between 80-85%. But then again, after I saw the iPhone completely open and on your drawing table, I probably gave you maybe a….

Q: So how impressed are you that I actually fixed it?
Eric: Oh, I’m 100% impressed… Really impressed. And that you spent only $19.99 for a new battery and a special iPhone toolkit that you found on Amazon and was able to spend the time and fix it! I definitely could not have done that. For real. Also, I finally got an iPhone 4 (that used to be yours) and you upgraded to an iPhone 5 with tons of memory (that you needed) and now you have a hotspot too for your “mobile office” (that you’ve been wanting for quite awhile but it wasn’t in our “artist’s budget”) all for under twenty bucks! ALSO, I want to add that your brother finally let me on the family plan and now our monthly cell phone bill has been drastically reduced. I couldn’t be more happy, and honestly, grateful and impressed for your clever and frugal ways. We have a great frugal lifestyle that’s all due to you.
Q: Yeah, yeah, yeah… I know you are laying it on thick because today is our wedding anniversary. I cannot believe we celebrated another year today. Doesn’t time go by so fast?

Eric: Uhm, really nothing. There really is nothing that aggravated me this week.
