Yes, it’s Mr. Basketmaker’s birthday today. And a while ago, he removed the wood stove and platform to create valuable teaching space but wound up with a fake rock/concrete wall of sorts. So he decided to paint it white to brighten up that corner. But it has needed something for so long since that white wall was so bright and obvious sticking out like a sore thumb. And I think I found the perfect thing to hang in front of it.
So for his birthday today I bought him a neon light for his workshop to be hung in front of this wall. I think it looks great. But Izzy was not very happy. She totally thought it should be her name up there and in Pink. Maybe next year Izzy.
I’d also like to thank everyone who sent cards. It’s so nice to be remembered when you’re in your (uh-hem… after-mid-50s) with no kids and people still take the time to send you wishes. And, again, Auntie Gail and Uncle Ed win for the funniest card according to Eric. I think he’s the closest one to understanding GAIL humor: )
Happy Birthday, Eric!!
