Employee of the Month.

For those who are new to this blog (those who are old-timers, I will be repeating myself), a few months ago I felt that this two-person-one-dog outfit needed a morale boost. So I instilled an Employee of the Month program.

If you know us, you’re acutely aware that we love reality TV. We prefer reality because we don’t like drama (tee hee). One of our favorite’s is Apprentice (actually, I never watched Apprentice until I met Eric so it’s more his favorite. I’m just his couch buddy). So the new season started a couple weeks ago and Eric decided to give me and Chance an Apprentice-like task.

Our assignment was to package up all the basket materials to be sent to his students for the upcoming North Carolina Basketmaker Association’s Convention. Easy enough. However, I got a little frustrated because I was entering in the addresses online at USPS, and inadvertently typed in a couple addresses incorrectly. Having shipments sent to the wrong place would not be good. So I was feeling the pressure.

But Chance on the other hand, handled his “task” in stride. He did not blink an eye overseeing the stacking of boxes and verifying the shipping labels. Because of his calm behavior, Chance is February’s Employee of the Month! (Again. He was also December’s).

Don’t you get irritated by people who take pictures of their dog doing “human” things? Like dogs playing poker. Or a dog reading a newspaper? Or a dog packaging items for shipping? I cannot stand that kind of stuff. Really tacky.

Big Sale at PsPrint.com!

Any ads on my blog are from companies I do business with. I love PSPrint. I’ve used them for years! I produce a lot of postcards for Eric and they have great pricing and turnaround.

  1. 🙂 I love that Chance is the employee of the month. I’m not sure if it is a comment on how well he did, or how not well everyone else did.

    1. Thanks Andria!! It might’ve been more about teasing Eric since he’s always whining that the dog is too spoiled.

  2. Chance is my inspiration. Early in his Lynnehood, I would not have thought it possible that he could ever hold down a job. What a dog! karen

    1. Thanks for the good laugh this morning! That was funny. Looks like everyone doubted Chance except for me 🙂
