This was me on Sunday. Performing free, hard labor for Eric. Now that it is just about a week before we leave for North Carolina, he has me working every day! Remember, I have my own clients to work for as well. But he seems to think he’s my number one client and takes priority. Time to remind him when the mortgage is due so he’ll let me get back onto “paying” jobs.
My important task was cutting materials to length for basket kits. These batch of parts are going into his Cottage Smalls Basket Kits. For those unfamiliar, the Smalls Collection are teenie-tiny versions of his most popular full-sized baskets. Isn’t it cute? This little guy is my favorite. It’s perfect for my fancy paperclips and my special metal thumbtacks.

Special shoutout to Kolomoki Weavers for my pink elastic doo-dads at the end of my braids. They were in the Georgia Basketry Association’s goody bag given to Eric last month. They had my name written all over them!
I love a lot of things. Paper Source is one of them. I bought paper from them to produce our wedding invitations. They have the best selection anywhere. If you do not have a store near you, shop online! They have excellent customer service too. Envelopes I purchased once had some dents, and since I am a perfectionist, I called them up and they replaced for free and shipped priority.
It must run in the family… I love working for free too!
Now, don’t forget the project I assigned you too. Don’t you love having people all over the place telling you what to do? –Oooo, I sound like Dr. Seuss…
I’m on it. But when I asked him for the photo of the Shaker Apple Basket, he moaned a loud “Aaarghhh”… I think that means he has to photograph that one.
