A Nantucket memory throwback…

I’ve been busy working on revising all of our websites… a huge task and lots of work. And tons of photos to go through. Yesterday I came upon this old photo of Mr. Basketmaker…

This was taken on Nantucket at the house we were staying at. It was the first year Eric was invited to teach there and one day, we thought it would be funny for Eric to put on his apossum t-shirt and camo pants and pose for photos all around the house, which is a museum on one of the town’s tours.

Eric will be teaching on Nantucket again for his 6th year at the 1900 House. If you will be visiting the area September 5th through the 9th you should stop by and visit or take a one-of-a-kind class on the island. I’d be happy to help you with ferry info. and finding some rooms at the many b&b’s there. Nantucket is expensive but the time Eric is there it’s the first week of the off-season and I can help find you something. Still pricey but worth it as Eric’s mom can attest. Last year we found her the cutest little twin-bed room at a fabulous b&b. She had a great time!

Find more info about the 1800 House here. If you call, tell them Eric’s wife sent you… they are so nice and helpful there!

  1. Great article. Question….. Do you have ant calendars left? Is you do can Eric take it to Georgia convention and I’ll get it from him. Thanks

    1. Hi Pat: The Cottage Girls didn’t do a calendar this year. Instead, they created a cookbook which is loaded with basket images. You can buy it here on the blog. Eric will also have a bunch at convention.
