Before I get to July’s workshop last week, need to do some past class housekeeping. The second class in June ended up calling themselves, “Weaving between the Wines” and Mandie sent us these two shirts that she made up for the group…
When you get the shirts printed up, your group is OFFICIAL! And thanks for making us honorary members! (I love the glass tipped over… is that what was going on in the evenings ladies???)
So now onto Miss Joyce. By the second day, I told her every time I come in here you are sharing a story. She said “That’s because you come in at the wrong time.”
So I told her I was going to visually document it—all in good fun of course! Here’s Miss Joyce. I love this photo of her. She’s working on the sewing basket.
This is why I was impressed with her. The sewing basket is stressful to make. But she was always with smiles, a story and a laugh. No worries at all.
Now this is a woman who can multi-task!
Photo above, on left, she’s drilling the rim for pins, talking to Eric AND petting the shop cat CoCo with her other hand. On the right, she’s sanding uprights for another basket while sharing a story. She doesn’t even have to look at what she’s sanding. She knows it by the feel.
And sharing pics of her pets…
And still had time to have quality moments with Minnie Kitty on the porch…
Thanks Miss Joyce for all your stories, tidbits, laughs and great friendship. And thanks again ladies for the t-shirts. See you next year!
Those are the people that are most fun in class!
Awesome! Love the baskets.
