The “Originals” Workshop

I’m finally posting the images from August’s workshop. There were actually two in August so here’s the first group who we call “The Originals” since they were the first group who came to Eric’s workshop here in Tennessee. Two friends from Michigan, mom and daughter from Massachusetts and husband and wife from Wisconsin. The 3 couples didn’t know each other but they have been coming back every year, at the same time ever since. Except for last year when the country was shut down.

Amy nailing her rims for the McMinnville Market basket. Ginger adding weavers to the Pandora’s box basket and Marcia weaving the Vanilla Bean basket.

Eric chatting with JoAnn and Mark. Poor JoAnn is stuck in a tiny corner and she got cut off by the weavers hanging next to her. I’ll find another one…

Here’s Miss JoAnn. And Amy showing me the cool pattern she put on the new File Basket.

Kay and Ginger laughing about something while sanding their rims on the porch.

Izzy hanging out with them. As well as Minnie Kitty…

Mini keeping Kay company while she weaves outside. I’m thinking more people would enjoy the porch if the animals didn’t claim some of the seats!

Marcia getting her woven bottom lined up to the mold.

Everyone enjoying some watermelon after lunch.

I love this image. Minnie Kitty is relaxing on the porch step while Miss Ginger takes a break on the hammock.

Thanks so much to Marcia, Ginger, Amy, Kay and Mark & JoAnn for coming to make baskets all these years. It’s so much fun to get together and hear what everyone’s been up to.
