I heard that Eric threw me under the bus today on Facebook, saying I’ve neglected my blog. Can’t deny it. So here’s a post I wrote back in December and meant to post it for Christmas.

In 1999, Eric wanted to make a commemorative scaled Shaker-style swallowtail box in honor of the new Millenium that was coming up. I believe he limited it to only twenty-four boxes created. It was walnut with a specially-designed scrimmed ivory disc made by D.E.L.S. of Massachusetts that was placed on top of the lid. The image is what the Shakers used for their Tree of Life.

He sold all of them except for this one that he gave to his grandmother. I love what he wrote on the bottom. After she passed, it was given back to Eric.

The picture is Eric’s special Grammy Taylor. He talks about her a lot. And it’s one of my favorite things Eric has made.
